Project Address

How we build a dam?

Constructing a dam is a complex and multifaceted process that begins with the construction phase starts with diverting the river flow through channels or tunnels, preparing the foundation, and then placing materials to build the dam. Concrete dams involve placing and curing concrete in layers, while earthfill or rockfill dams require compacting earth or rock. Structural elements like spillways and powerhouses for hydroelectric dams are also constructed. Once the main structure is completed, the reservoir is gradually filled, with constant monitoring to ensure structural integrity
